1) It all starts with bamboo

Bamboo is nature’s overachiever. Our underwear’s signature softness starts with bamboo grown in FSC®-certified forests, where this fast-growing, naturally pest-resistant plant grows rapidly and without the need for pesticides or replanting. That’s a seriously strong start for seriously soft underwear.

2) From bamboo to lyocell

Not all bamboo-based fabrics are created equal. At Bumboo, we use the closed-loop lyocell process to make the fabric that forms our bamboo underwear, turning bamboo pulp into cloud-soft fibres – minus the harsh chemicals. The result? Bamboo lyocell: soft, breathable, and kinder to the planet.

3) More sustainable stretch

We use an innovative alternative to traditional petroleum-based elastane (known as spandex in the US). CREORA® bio-based elastane replaces 70% of the petroleum-based raw material with natural fibre alternatives. Currently, cornstarch is the green raw material used to make this responsible, stretchable fibre. Excitingly, this science-backed solution to a performance-fabrics problem isn’t stopping there. The biotechnology is actively being developed even further, to increase the proportion of the natural fibre content and to integrate another renewable material, sugarcane., This small switch reduces our reliance on fossil-fuel-derived inputs without compromising on comfort, stretch, or durability – and it brings a whole new meaning to Sweet Cheeks.

4) Colour that cares

We work with expert partners to bring vibrant, long-lasting colour to our fabrics. These dyes bond with the bamboo lyocell fibres for richer colour and better wash-fastness, without the harmful chemicals or unnecessary bleaching. In essence: bold briefs, without the nasty chemicals.

5) A cut above the rest

Finding the perfect underwear fit is both a science and an art. Every bum is unique – so we design underwear for all of them. Our shapes and sizes are cut for real bodies. Designed and tested for women, by women, our skilled makers bring bamboo lingerie to life so that you can live with full comfort, confidence, and colour.

6) Putting the care in our labels

We’ve all experienced the discomfort of an uncomfortable care label. Bumboo care labels are printed directly onto the fabric – no polyester ribbon, no plastic tags, no paper labels. Plus, with clevercare.info included, you can wash smarter and waste less.

Softness with substance. Our bamboo lyocell is cloud-soft, breathable, and backed by science – made in a closed-loop process that reuses 70% of water and solvents. Comfort you can feel, science you can trust.

More sustainable stretch We use CREORA® bio-based elastane to give Bumboo underwear its comforting stretch, made with 30% fewer petroleum-based inputs than conventional elastane. The bio-based portion comes from renewable cornstarch and soon, sugarcane - giving a whole new meaning to Sweet Cheeks.

Labels that care

Goodbye scratchy labels, hello long-lasting comfort. We digitally print our care labels onto the fabric, reducing material usage and eliminating last-minute plastic introduction. We also point you to clevercare.info to keep your Bumboo underwear feeling fresh, wash-after-wash.

Find your perfect fit with Bumboo

We’re here to make sure your Bumboo undies feel just right — comfy, flattering and made to move with you. Getting the best fit starts with knowing your measurements, and we’re here to walk you through it, step-by-step.

Start with the real you
To get the most accurate fit, we recommend measuring your actual body rather than over clothes. Grab a tape measure and take it slow – this is your moment.

Waist:
Wrap the tape around your natural waistline – that’s the narrowest part of your torso, usually just above your belly button. Keep it snug but not tight.

Hips:
Stand with your feet together and measure around the fullest part of your hips and bum. This is the widest part, so don’t be shy – we want to embrace those curves and find that true-to-you fit!

Now, compare your measurements with our size chart.

Sometimes your waist and hips may sit across two sizes – that’s totally normal! For example, if your waist is 26 inches (a Small) and your hips are 38 inches (a Medium), we’d suggest:

  • Size S for a firmer, snugger fit
  • Size M for a more relaxed feel

Pick based on what makes you feel best – whether you like your knickers to hug or a more gentle-level of support.

A little extra fit advice from us:

  • Between sizes?
    Size up in our Basic bikini and Thongs if you’ve got a curvier figure.
    Size down in our High Rise styles if you’re on the smaller side.
  • Size XL or above?
    Our fabric has amazing stretch and softness – in sizes XL and up, we recommend sizing down for the perfect hold.
